About
Family Therapy

Many different factors can contribute to emotional difficulties.  During therapy sessions with me, we can explore together what is happening for you and think about what changes you might want to make. Therapy is a process of gaining awareness of your emotions, your patterns, and the ways you have learned to cope. A deeper understanding of who you are and how you manage your relationships can help you to develop a more compassionate and contented way of living with yourself and the people who are important to you.

The Therapy That I Offer

Children’s Therapy

Play is a child’s natural language. It supports emotional resilience, social connection, and physical wellbeing. In the therapy room, play allows children to express worries or difficult feelings that may be linked to friendships, school, family situations, or the sadness of a loss.

When something feels unknown or too big for children to manage alone, therapy can provide a safe space for them to make sense of their world at their own pace with a professional who is not a part of their family. Children will need someone who they can trust and who is able to understand and help them to make sense of their overwhelming or frightening feelings.

I have a lot of experience working with children who have suffered losses. Loss can show up in many forms including family breakdowns, the absence of a parent, mental or physical illness, or bereavement.

Adult Therapy

You may be experiencing unfamiliar or overwhelming thoughts, or noticing a shift in the quality of your daily life or relationships. Sometimes current events can stir up emotions rooted in the past, feelings that you may not be fully aware of which are affecting you now.

Through therapy, we can slow things down, explore these inner experiences, and help you understand what lies beneath the surface. This growing awareness can bring relief, stability, and a renewed sense of self.

Bereavement Work

I specialise in supporting individuals of all ages through bereavement, loss, and the many forms of grief we encounter throughout life. The grieving process cannot be hurried or controlled, and there is no “right” way to feel. Together, we can explore your loss with patience and care, allowing you the time and space you need.

Very often people in grief feel the need to speak with someone who can help unravel the thoughts and emotions that feel too heavy to hold alone. By creating a safe and confidential space in which to explore your emotions,I aim to help you process your grief, find comfort, confidence, and clarity in your relationships past or present whether at home, at work, or within your wider community.

Family Therapy

All families experience challenges, and at times emotions can feel overwhelming. You do not need to face these difficulties on your own. Whether you are navigating a relationship breakdown, conflict, or a period of change, therapy can help you understand what is happening beneath the surface and how to move forward. Family therapy offers an opportunity for growth, communication, and reconnection.

About

I am a psychodynamic therapist with over 20 years of experience working with adults, children, and families.

I have seen how therapeutic work can gradually bring an understanding and relief to a situation, taking small steps at a time. Therapy offers a consistent relationship and a safe space where you will be able  to express thoughts and ideas and have an outlet for your feelings. This can help us to understand what you are struggling with, where these patterns may have come from, and what changes you would like to make. Therapy offers you time to be heard and thought about the benefits can be long term and on-going.

What to expect

You can expect me to listen carefully, engage with you, and work collaboratively to make sense of what matters to you. Therapy is an active process: you may make new connections, uncover patterns, and begin to develop a deeper sense of choice and authenticity in your life.

I offer a free 30 minute introductory call to anyone who makes an enquiry. This gives us the chance to meet on zoom, discuss your needs, and consider whether we are a good fit before arranging a first session.

The first session might be for an hour and half, followed by regular weekly sessions with me these will be for 50 minutes.

My Practice is at SW3 4UD. I have a confidential and quiet space for you to come to where we can explore what might have brought you to see me.
